Pat Frain MBA, BE (Energy & Environmental Engineering)


Pat Frain served an apprenticeship in cabinetmaking and making fine furniture. Formative years after apprenticeship, were spent in furniture making and shop-fitting. Pat then carried out first and second fix carpentry projects on site, subsequently establishing a carpentry sub contract business working for many principle construction companies. He received many enquiries to undertake construction projects, and transitioned to main contracting, focused on renovations and one off builds for home owners. Frain Construction was established in 2001, focused on residential and commercial work

In 2011 Pat pursued a degree in Energy and Environmental Engineering (part time in evenings) which he completed in 2015. Shortly after this Pat was sought to project manage a project in St Margret's Twickenham, London of high end residential & commercial mix development. Upon its completion, Pat spent the intervening years project managing and contract managing projects, predominantly for Tier 1 contractors, in the residential, health care and commercial sector in Dublin. In 2018 Pat commenced a masters in business administration (MBA) (part time in evenings) which he completed in 2020.

Pat is the managing director of Frain Construction, which provides a refurbishment and new build service to home owners. Through his experience in project management, Pat recognises that knowledgeable site managers and skilled trades people in conjunction with fostering strong working relationships with customers, design team and construction team, is the key to successful project completion. This environment draws an honesty of endeavour from all stakeholders, to overcome any issues that may arise and address them in an efficient, respectful and fair manner.   
Frain Construction aim to fuse flexibility with value based solutions, and can provide value engineering solutions if required. Frain construction take a professional approach to projects from safety, quality, duration and cost perspective. Sites are periodically inspected for quality and safety compliance and reports issued for each inspection. We view all projects as a partnership between contractor home owner and architect, where all commit their best endeavours to deliver a quality product, that meets and surpasses the customers expectations.
